Charlie, part 1

This is a story about a cat named Charlie and the lady who loved him.

It all started when a small box mysteriously arrived outside the lady’s doorway. A tiny, gray kitty with bold, white markings popped his head through the top of the box and darted under the big rocking chair.

Gently, the lady picked up the frightened kitty and held him tightly against her face and told him he had nothing to fear.

From that day on, a special bond was formed. Whenever Charlie felt a little frightened or a little lonely or a little sad, he would search her out. No matter what she was doing, the lady would hold Charlie and tell him what a wonderful kitty he was. Charlie would wrap a white paw on each side of her face and snuggle in. He liked that. So did the lady.
