End with a grin

March 2, 2026 by Don Kuhl

For the many, many blog readers (more than seven) who noticed I had gone AWOL, I apologize. I got caught with a combination of illnesses while attempting to take care of some overdue medical procedures in Scottsdale, Arizona. It wasn’t pretty.

And it got worse. Preparing to travel home, I found someone had stolen my wallet (full of all the stuff I needed to pay bills and drive around). If one of you stole my wallet, I’ll give you free Oscar Mayer wieners for a full six months for its safe return.

Returning home, I immediately recognized that all this was a mere blip in my somewhat quixotic life. I will continue waging battles with windmills and dreaming the impossible dream while vacuuming the living room three times per week, taking out the garbage and doing anything else that Sherry (my Dulcinea) requests.

Honestly, it feels fabulous to be home with Sherry, standing on our little patch of land and experiencing the love of so many friends and family.

Life is good.
