Guilt

July 29, 2021 by Don Kuhl

Guilt can drive me absolutely nuts.

Most of the time, my guilt does not help me a bunch. One approach to lessen my guilt is to make brief, sincere amends to individuals I have offended.

Over the years, I’ve been blessed by communicating with loyal followers of my blogs. Frequently, these new friends share with me their own stories and offer up intelligent perspectives that make me a wiser man. In many occasions, their humor and support have gotten me out of my own funks. In one case, two loyal readers may have saved my life.

Here comes the guilt. Since my major back surgery in March, I have rarely responded to the hundreds of messages I received. It’s a joyous task I keep putting off, thinking I will do it later or I’m not in the right frame of mind to provide a worthy response. Of course, this is a bunch of hogwash.

So, I am sorry. You have given me a valuable piece of your time and I have not responded in kind.

In the future, I will do better. You deserve it. And so do I.
