As many of you are aware, Mark Twain visits me late at night and offers tips on creative writing. I try my best, but I’m a poor student when it comes to matching my mentor’s talent.
You may not know that Mark has also been my financial adviser throughout much of my life. Early on, Mark got his older brother, Orion, out of some financial difficulty. I helped my older brother, Eddie, when he got into a bit of trouble.
Later in his life, Mark declared bankruptcy after investing unwisely in the Paige Compositor. I went broke trying to be a sports publisher. Mark worked like crazy, doing lectures and continuing to write, and paid back every dime to his creditors, even when he was not legally bound to do so.
Mark told me to do the same. I did. I worked hard and repaid my creditors who were still living.
Mark hasn’t shown up for a while. I need his advice on how to wrap things up.
