This week, Ben talked with me about what he thinks is “next.” You will notice he’s a creative thinker and his Catholic upbringing provides some parameters for his heavenly wanderings. Don’t let his humor lead you to overlook his thoughtful musings. I know Ben well. This is the real guy shining through.
“I’ve thought a lot about what comes next. My questions and guesses depend on how broad my imagination is at the moment. One example is, will God throw parties in heaven? If so, would he invite everybody or just the angels and saints? What kind of entertainment would God have?
“I also want to know: since we mortals cannot see spirits, can we as spirits ‘see’ other spirits? After all, that’s what I believe populates heaven. Can spirits go anywhere they want to go? Will God have rules about that? If not, will the spirit be able to travel the universe? How fast can a spirit travel?
“In any case, I think God is not a procrastinator. I think he will get right down to business and tell me my destiny. It will be an adventure, and I look forward to getting started after I tidy up a few things down here on earth.”
