Confusing stuff

February 2, 2026 by Don Kuhl

As I age, I continue to be confused by lots of stuff.

Here are a few examples:

Sherry and I clean the house best of all the day before our cleaning team comes in to clean our house. What sense does that make?

I’m at a fancy eating place, and the waiter forgets to bring me silverware. So I politely ask for a fork and knife, and the waiter responds, “No problem.” What? Is he saying that it might have been a problem but he’s gracious enough to handle the situation? It just bugs me.

I throw the ball with great enthusiasm and command my female shepherd, Jody Beth Beckett, to “go fetch.” My other three shepherds love the game and rush out, get the ball and bring it back to me. Jody just sits there, staring up at me as if to say, ”Why don’t you go get the ball?” I do. Jody wags her tail as if to say, “Good boy, Don.”

My feet, nose and ears continue to get larger while I continue to get smaller. It’s very confusing.

Do you have any strange happenings in your life?
